Hello everyone, my name is Kelsey Dean. Welcome to my web page!
I was raised in nearby Caro and graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with a concentration in Biological Sciences. After graduation I moved to Florida where I taught middle grades science for 3 years. When I moved back to Michigan in 2017, I was honored to become part of the Kingston Community School family. This will be my fourth year with Kingston teaching 7th and 8th grade Integrated Science, and 9th grade Biology. Although this year may be a little different than expected, know that our hearts are full and we are beyond excited to make this year great! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email or call. Thank you for your on-going support as a parent and community member!
2020-2021 Science Supplies List
The following list contains commonly used items in my class. To limit the spread of germs, we will no longer have shared bins of items in the classroom. Please consider having a personal stash of the items below to be used in my classroom and others. As always, any donations are beyond appreciated and will be given to those in need or used for projects, labs, and fun! If able, please consider a donation of any items listed as well as glue sticks, rulers, and candy (given out for student reward and motivation). Thank you for all you do!
A separate pocket folder, binder, or organizational pouch to be used only for science papers
Lined paper: pack or notebook
Pencils (mechanical or wood): If wood, please have a handheld (not electric) pencil sharpener
Extra erasers
Pack of colored pencils
Pack of markers
Pen
Highlighter
Ear buds for chrome-book use
Other personal items sometimes used:
Hand sanitizer, sanitation wipes, ruler, calculator, dry erase marker, permanent marker
